Altered Book Project; Jessica Maurice

I started off the project not knowing what I wanted to do. I knew I liked the idea of cutting a heart on the outside, so that was my first step. My next challenge was what to do on the inside with the pages. I liked the examples of books that we saw with folded pages on the inside, so I started to fold the pages in a design. Since I was doing a heart on the front, I decided to make the book into a story of heartbreak. To achieve this, I cut down the pages and change the pattern so that the last pages would be ripped out. I think I did a good job of starting off with an idea and basing my whole project off of that idea. For the next project, my goal is to use my time more efficiently during the project and to spend more time crafting and creating my sculpture so I dont have to rush to finish last minute.
